WHAT IS A CLAY BAR TREATMENT?
A clay bar treatment is when a piece of clay is used to remove contaminants from the surface of your car’s paint.

The short answer – highly unlikely, but please read on for an explanation to understand how Louisville paint correction works and why we cannot likely get it 100% scratch-free. Every time you polish (for light paint correction work) or compound (for heavier work), you are removing microns off of the clear coat. Eventually, over the life of a vehicle, the clear coat can fail (you’ve probably have noticed cars like this where their hood is completely devoid of any clear coat – note, not the same as it being oxidized). Our goal is to make the car as flawless to the naked eye as possible, while still leaving your clear coat for future work and UV protection.
This is true even on new vehicles, but older vehicles also need extra special attention in this regard, as their clear coat has already degraded slightly from exposure to the elements, washing, previous paint corrections, and more. Most likely we will be able to get the paint to look flawless to the naked eye. However, if you took an LED headlamp or the lights we use to it, you will likely see some imperfections, much like a jeweler would see flaws in a diamond using a jeweler’s loupe. Additionally, the general rule of thumb is, if you can catch the scratch with your fingernail, it likely will not come out. Of course, we will always attempt to make the best of your car, taking into consideration the paint condition, age of the vehicle, and any areas you point out during a walk-around inspection prior to us starting work.
For added protection for your car, ask us about our Louisville Ceramic Coating. A ceramic coating will help prevent future micro-scratches and extend the longevity of your paint and clear coat.
CAN YOU REPAIR DINGS, DENTS, OR PAINT CHIPS?
Sorry, we do not provide that type of work, however, we do have some recommendations for minor paint chips, dents, etc, and people that can do the work.

WHAT IS AN IRON REMOVER?
An iron or fallout remover will ensure that there are no hidden contaminants that could be stuck on your vehicle. Because of the nanoceramic and hydrophobic properties of a SystemX coating, the surface of your vehicle needs to be as smooth as possible. By using tools of the trade, such as clay bar and iron removal, we can assure that your vehicle is in optimum condition to receive the ceramic coating.
WHAT IS A CERAMIC COATING?
Ceramic coatings are extremely durable vehicle protection systems. Depending on the coating used they are suitable for use on paintwork, wheels, glass, and plastic trim. They are designed to protect your factory clear coat.
WHY CERAMIC COATING?
Louisville Ceramic Coating is a good investment to permanently protect the exterior of your vehicle from deteriorating prematurely and to help maintain a higher resale value. There tends to be less maintenance required because of the slickness of the coating. The hydrophobic properties of a SystemX Coating will protect your vehicle and will not allow dirt, brake dust, and road tar to stick to your paint, wheels, or glass nearly as much. This will make cleaning your vehicle a much more enjoyable and effortless process. Not to mention you will see the ultimate gloss and color depth not comparable to anything else. Properly maintained vehicles will shine like new for many years to come.
WHAT ARE MY AFTER-CARE INSTRUCTIONS?
Because of the different types of coatings that we offer to best suit your needs, your installation technician will go over all of the specific instructions that apply to you after your coating.
Curing time is 2-3 weeks depending on environmental conditions such as humidity and temperature.
Avoid Sprinklers.
The coating will NOT protect your clear coat from water spots. The coating is less likely to etch than your factory clear but it can get spots during the curing process and can be costly to remove.
Do not park under a shedding tree
Allowing bird droppings, sap, pollen to sit on the car and bake in the sun
Washing or abrading the paint
If you notice that your car gets water spots, bird droppings, tree sap, etc. during these two weeks immediately remove it following our care instructions. Keep in mind the coating is softer so work on the paint very gently
We advise that every 12 months the vehicle is thoroughly decontaminated by the removal of any road tar, iron, tree sap, and industrial fallout deposits that may have accumulated. Following that, we will apply a SIO2 sealant to rejuvenate the ceramic coating and enhance its hydrophobic properties

WHAT SYSTEMX PRODUCTS DO YOU OFFER?
You will find a list of all the products and packages that we have here.
HOW LONG DO THEY LAST?
Each SystemX product comes with a warranty. The specific length of the warranty will depend on the type of coating and the environment in which the car is driven and stored. There will also be a dependency on how well the coating is maintained. SystemX forms a highly durable bond with the paintwork which can last a number of years on a well-maintained car.
SystemX is resistant to chemicals so it will not be washed away by strong car wash shampoos and cleaning chemicals. However aggressive car washing with brushes or automatic car washes will reduce the lifespan of the product. We recommend only washing your car with microfiber cloths.
As with any paintwork treatment good, regular maintenance is required for the best results and longevity of the product.
Ceramic Coatings can be removed by abrasion such as machine polishing, cutting compounds, or cut and polish. Neglect such as failure to wash the vehicle regularly (weekly or fortnightly) can also reduce the performance and durability of the product.

HOW DO I KEEP THE CAR CLEAN IN THE MEANTIME?
A careful and regular washing regime using a PH-neutral shampoo and/or hydrophobic spray will keep your car looking pristine. We can supply these products directly or point you in the direction of online retailers. The cost to you is the same either way. Also, avoid letting your vehicle air dry always use quality microfiber to dry.
HOW DO CERAMIC COATINGS COMPARE AGAINST DEALERSHIP-APPLIED SEALANTS?
They are much more durable in almost every aspect of protection and visually appear to have a much higher gloss characteristic.
HOW DO THEY WORK?
Waxes and many paint sealants sit on the applied surface. Ceramic coatings work by bonding a thin layer of product directly to your car’s paintwork creating a new substrate. Once bonded the product is much harder to remove than traditional products and is, therefore, more durable.
I’VE HAD MY CAR TREATED, WHAT SHOULD I AVOID?
Avoid roller brush car washes and wiping off your car clean when it’s dry. Always have a lubricant and clean microfiber or wash mitt.
